I customized my "last few callers" screen by adding a long last_few_callers_msg string to the logonlist section of my modopts.ini file. It's working nicely.
However, I think I prefer the idea of using the advanced Ctrl-A code to embed a file from the text directory instead (per the wiki page under "Advanced"). Whenever I try it though, it just displays the name of the file, rather than the contents of the file.
I have "lastcall.txt" in my sbbs/text directory. To try to display it, I've tried using the following in last_few_callers_msg:
\1"lastcall.txt
\x01"lastcall.txt
[SOH]"lastcall.txt (the actual Ctrl-A character)
I'm certain I must have the syntax wrong. Does anyone have it working?
