  • Synch and Fido

    My computer went down the other day, and I grabbed my wife's old computer from college and set up SBBS on it until I get my new one back in.

    Well, everything seems to work except when I try to connect to my hub. I keep getting this message:

    I have never seen that error before. Any ideas?

    Can you resolve the address it is connecting to?

    Looks like you've got "1:396/45" configured as a hostname somewhere. Double-check your configuration in sbbsecho.ini/echocfg.

    Can you resolve the address it is connecting to?

    I can connect to my qwk networks, I can go anywhere on the internet. I can look
    up the address in nodelist lookup. It goes to him, but for some reason, it won't connect.
    It was working before, then my computer went down. Igrabbed my wife's old computer and set it up and now it's not coperating at all.

    Looks like that was it. Now I have to resolve the bad password issue and am set.
