  • Message Save issues

    What would cause a message to abort when trying to save it? I am using the PC PCBOARD screen on telnet using /s to save and it will abort. If I reply it wo works fine, only when writing a new message. WEB interface works fine.

    Basically, if I use /s to save, it says ABORTED.

    I tried using the message base checker/rebuild tool and no success.

    I don't know what the PC PCBOARD screen is, but if you're using the line-based editor, that sounds like a bug that was fixed recently. You might want to update your build of Synchronet.

    I don't know what the PC PCBOARD screen is, but if you're using the line-based editor, that sounds like a bug that was fixed recently. You might want to update your build of Synchronet.

    Build was just updated to 3.17 but maybe I missed a step. Will try again.
    It was the line based editor. I was just using the pcboard menu.

    It's a bug in the internal message editor in v3.17b. Either: use an external (e.g. full-screen) editor or, preferably, upgrade to v3.17c: http://wiki.synchro.net/install:dev
