  • ActiveUser-UDP connections from another bbs...

    Is it normal to get a lot of connections on the ActiveUser-UDP service from a single bbs? I am getting about 50 connections in a 10 minute period from a bbs.

    I am seeing these connections from running 'tail -f /var/log/messages'.

    It is a Synchronet BBS running on the other end (withholding BBS IP and Name for now).

    Sure.

    Your system is listed in the sbbsimsg.lst, so expect to get ActiveUser requests periodically.

    My BBS is not that active so it is not going to be instant messages... was looking for a way to see what was being queried, but couldn't find any logs...

    It has stopped now, but it was doing it for better part of a day.

    i don't know what the time period is but when logged into synchronet, CTRL-P I lists available systems with others logged in and updates the list from time to
    time... it is this time to time period i don't yet know...
