can we get some more details in error.log?
for example, the following
doesn't tell me which system was connected to and we have to dig through the syslogs, if they still exist, to try to find the time frame...

Okay, so this is a BinkIt/BinkP special case. I didn't write it, but
I'll see if I can figure out how to add more details to the error
messages for you (in binkit.js and binkp.js).

Actually, it couldn't (the "from remote" part gives it away). Binkp servers don't send passwords on inbound connections.
