Did you actually add your BBS into the bbs list? When you run the Synchronet BBS List door M for more then A to add. Once you're aded then you should be exported.

yes, it prompted me to add it when i ran the door... if i delete it, i get prompted again the next time i run the door...

i don't know what the problem is but i did find the following...

VERT has an entry from the 15th which is old. i had the system name too long and it messed some things up elsewhere... that was mentioned on IRC... i tried to change the system name in the door but i could not... so i deleted the record in the door, fixed the name in scfg, and then created a whole new record... that was on the 28th... the system name and the description were both
changed... the stats were also different as more mail and files have been added... the sbbslist export event ran both times and both times the messages were exported and sent off in the QWK pack to VERT... i can see them in the data echo on the fidonet side of the fence as well as in the message on my system (once i adjusted the access privs to allow me to read the area *)... somehow the update was missed being handled in VERT's bbs lister door...

i know now that my system has to be in the bbs list as well as having those ports open... while my system is listed in the door, it is not listed on the web page unless i'm just totally blind...

    http://synchro.net/sbbslist.html

the above URL says that there's 188 systems exported but i only count 58 in my data/sbbslist.json file... 58 is also what is reported in my logs...

*) having to adjust the access privs for the data area may also explain why posts in that area are not responded to by sysops when someone writes that an entry has some mistakes in it... you'd think the operators would be interested in the data but with only "REST Q" for that area, operators just have no idea that someone has written a message to them about their bbs door list entry...

along with my last post, sestar is also not showing up on http://synchro.net/sbbslist.html either... the record is created here and the event is running at 02:30...

The sbbslist.html only contains systems reportedly running "Synchronet" BBS software. Your system's entry is here on Vertrauen okay, but it contains a BBS software value of "SBBS 3.17a-L-64". Change that value to "Synchronet" and your system will appear in the sbbslist.html (and likely sbbsimsg.lst as well).

And there's anohter issue with your BBS entry in the SYNDATA echo:

The first entry here was sent from "waldo kitty" (@SESTAR) but subsequent updates to the entry were sent from "wkitt42" (@SESTAR). Only the original creator of an entry can update it, so the subsequent updates are ignored. Are you changing your sysop name over there @SESTAR BBS?

I loosened the filtering a bit and your system now appears in the sbbsimsg.lst: southeaststar.wpusa.dynip.com 75.89.235.81 The SouthEast Star

However, you are going to have to settle on a sysop name and resolve the authorship of your BBS entry in the shared BBS list database.

i didn't know about this above part... yes, that was the entry from the 15th... i don't remember seeing that post...

oh, ok... thank you... i'll make the above change as well if necessary...

However, you are going to have to settle on a sysop name and resolve the authorship of your BBS entry in the shared BBS list database.

yeah, that was due to some editing of the user records... i have two handles that i go by plus my real name... i had to settle on two accounts which gave me a 3rd handle, rampage... the other account (wkitty42, waldo kitty) is in use on IRC... trying to use the same handle (wkitty42) on two accounts doesn't work... so after that user record editing, i tried to update the bbs list record here... i could not so i deleted it and immediately recreated it... that was on the 28th... that one on the 28th is accurate and should be created with my main account... i won't be doing any more editing like that in the future ;)

    truely sorry for the trouble...

i did and must have put them back opposite... this is the user record editing i was speaking of in my last post... it won't happen again :)
