  • Win 10 64bit + Synchronet + 16bit dos DOORS

    Hi All,

    Did some reading on the net, and didn;t found any workaround to run 16bit apps (i.e. TW2002 v3.09) under Windows 10 64 bit as DOS Door.. Any Hints maybe ? Did anyone found any solution for this ?

    I'm not sure there's an easy way to do that. There are DOS emulators such as DOSBox, but I'm not sure how easy (or if it's possible) to connect DOSBox to Synchronet for running a 16-bit DOS door. The recommended solution is usually to run Synchronet in a 32-bit Windows.

    I don't think there is one beyond running a 32-bit OS in a VM. That's what I do here: run Win7-32 in a Hyper-V VM.

    This weekend ama gonna put on my big boy pants and try to get some version of sbbs running under dosbox x86_64 on my slackware x64 with a few dos doors ... If I hose the system again I'll jst have to build another one from curbside pc parts (again) :-}
