what are the chances of having sbbsecho added as an alias for areafix? some folks reply to sbbsecho's notifications with areafix requests so the netmail is
addressed to sbbsecho instead of areafix... it would be nice for sbbsecho to respond to messages addressed to it as well as areafix...

Let me know if you want to have the areamgr alias restored.

Would it be possible to have this configurable?

I suppose so. But why?

Some people might have reasons not to have this behaviour. Wouldn't bother me either way.

It used to be laat way (before v3.03):
but since we send automated area mgr replies *from* "SBBSecho", I
wanted to avoid the possibility of a bot-loop, e.g.
I could easily put the SBBSecho alias back and just see how it goes.
We already have protection against two SBBSecho-bots going back and
forth (SBBSecho won't send areamgr or PING responses to "SBBSecho").
Let me know if you want to have the areamgr alias restored.
