  • ANSI Themed Menus

    I'm having a hell of a time figuring out how to display my own menus from another theme. I copied the wildcat menu set to \oblivion renamed the *.src file and and renamed the *.bin and *.src file, changed anything that said' wildcat' in the *.src file to oblivion, copied my file.ans msg.ans and
    main.ans to the the \menu folder, didn't display, so I changed the extention
    to *.asc and they stil show the wildcat ANSI... What am I doing wrong?

    Synchronet doesn't have the concept of "themes". Perhaps you mean command-line.

    I copied the wildcat menu set to \oblivion renamed the *.src

    Well "\anything" sounds wrong. Did you mean text/menu/oblivion? If that's the case any command-shell won't show those menu files unless the "menu" function calls contain the "oblivion/" sub-directory specified. So for example, text/menu/oblivion.* will be displayed if the command shell has a function call to "menu oblivion/main". Of course the command shells (*.src) have to recompiled with baja any time they're modified.

    Yeah I finally figured out the baja part, I now know how to customize my screens.. :) I'm moving my main Mystic BBS over to SBBS, and my Amiga BBS
    over to Mystic, since it doesn't have the 8.3 limitations that WWIV and SBBS have. I would have rather have had used SBBS but...
