  • force bind to send messages in outbound dir?

    So, I just discovered my binkd had crashed and I have several files waiting in outbound:

    00000005.SA0
    014202f7.cut
    014202f7.dlo
    014202f7.flo
    014202f7.try
    08a706a5.cut
    BUNDLES.SBE

    I seem to recall being able to do something to force the messages to be sent. Can someone help refresh my memory?

    You could force a poll, or do it manually. The .try file will tell you who

    014202f7 - 327/759

    08a706a5.cut - not sure about this one, converts to 2215/1701

    According to my programmer calculator anyway

    The .cut and *lo files should go automatically. There's no HLO files so everything should be a go. Are they in the proper outbound folders? What does the 014202f7.try say?
    One other thing, is another instance of binkd running as a daemon?

    Depends on your mailer, you would need to touch (create) a semaphore file to cause the mailer to fire off and send whenever files or present, or on a timed basis.
