  • Services stop working

    This seems to have started once I started using the letsyncrypt.js script. I mean 'seems' as it started the day after I finally got this to work.

    HTTP/HTTPS does not respond
    Telnet will not connect

    I can SSH into the server on port 22.
    restart bbs service and then I can connect.

    If I try to log in to the web server via HTTPS it will connect and display but when I try to log in it will not accept the login button, just sites there. Clicking does nothing.
    I have the journal open and monitoring nothing shows.

    Shortly after this the web services will no longer respond and then telnet will stop and I have to restart the BBS service.

    I have looked in the journal for today and don't see any errors. looked around for other logs but don't see anything. Is there somewhere else to look?

    Lastly, how would I remove what the letsyncrypt script has done if I want to move to a different solution i.e. put nginx in front of the BBS.

    Or just try disabling HTTPS and see if that resolves the issue.

    Well maybe this is a similar issue as reported by Purduecoz over kin Synchronet Discussions. This morning I just hit logon once and waited, then after a few minutes refreshed the page and I was logged in. It could have been me being to impatient hitting logon multiple times that caused the services to hang. The BBS has been up all night and I am inthis morning. Seems there is a long delay on th elogon under HTTPS. The browser does not show any activity.
