    Are the steps on the old synchronet manual still valid at all for the SCFG config for FidoNet?

    It says that this is for v2 only but is any of this valid from step 9 where it goes into the SCFG config in section 9.4.1?

    Or do we completly switch over to BinkD or another tosser?

    The tosser you should use is (still) most likely SBBSecho. The mailers (BinkD is a mailer) have changed quite a bit since the 90's and Synchronet even includes its own BinkP mailer now: http://wiki.synchro.net/resource:fidonet_mailer
