• Files Database duplicates in different directories.

From Electrosys@1:103/705 to All on Thu Aug 30 06:57:37 2018
I may have mucked something up when I created two different directores with the same Internal Name. I have a data\dirs\bbs\software folder and also a data\dirs\bbs\ansi\software folder. Unfortunally I forgot to change the Internal Name when I created them.

Is there a way I can refresh the files database?

Currently When I upload a file to one of the dirs, the file also shows up as offline in the other dir. I have tried everything I can think of to coax it back to normal by moving files, running UPLOAD and OFFLINE and also physically moving files.

You need to change the internal code of one of the directories in SCFG.

I had done that but it seems the file database didn't clean up until a nightly process ran?

Certain changes like this require the BBS / terminal server thread to restart, which should happen automatically once nobody is on any of the nodes.

I'm not really sure what you mean by "clean up", but there no nightly maintenance for the file bases built-into Synchronet (nor is one normally needed).

I'm pretty sure (98.9%) that I was recycling the server as I generally do when I'm working with the configuration. Does RESORT or something run nightly? I think it had to do with the entry being deleted, but wasn't removed from the data base. At least thats my guess.

    Thanks,
