• Remote sysop pager available

From Razor@1:103/705 to All on Sun Aug 19 21:56:46 2018
Hi all. I have just released my remote sysop pager. Remote sysop chat is coming soon. The pager has a small visual bug that I'd like to fix before starting on chat.

The BBS side should work on all Synchronet-supported platforms.
The client side is Windows only for now & requires .NET 4.6.1.
    The download is here: https://github.com/razordead/RazorChat/tree/master/Download

Once I have chat working, I'll work on a Python version for Linux & other Unix-like OSes.

Please either contact me here on DoveNet, or at razordead (at) gmail.com.

    OK, got it to connect

All seemed to go well until I hit the "chat" command at the menu. That seemed to kill both the BBS and the client.

Is that the "Chat with the sysop" command? Did you get any errors before the BBS & the client died? What OS is your BBS running on?

Yes, that's the command U used (was logged in at the same time). No errors (once I got the networking stuff sorted - my configuration is particularly complex). Does it support IPv6?

Also, after over 24 hours of running, the client crashed. I don't recall if there were any particular issues at the time.

I haven't tested it with IPv6 yet, I'll try to do that soon. Did you have to force it to use IPv4 to get things working?

Ok, please let me know if that continues to be an issue.

No, I didn't. I tried using an internal IPv4 address, but got connection refused (though SBBS is set to listen on that address). I then used my FTN domain name, and it connects fine - hopefully on IPv6, because that avoids the roundabout route via the IPv4 tunnel.

    OK, will do.
