I'd have to look, but I believe that function is declared by ftelnethelper.js, one of the files (I think) I suggested you grab from the Synchronet CVS.

I just double-checked, and yes, that's the file that you need. Make sure that you update the copy in your exec/load/ directory, and that you don't have any other copies of it in exec/ or mods/.

ok, double checked. did have ftelnethelper.js in exec. So removed that, got the ftelenthelper.js from cvs and put it in exec\load. Checked the mods

Still working on this, no success, but I wanted to pass on the following from Sync Control Panel:

    09:59:09a 1424 Telnet connection accepted from: 76.235.75.36 port 2038
    8/14 09:59:09a 1424 Telnet Hostname: WCALT.attlocal.net

8/14 09:59:16a Node 1 thread terminated (0 node threads remain, 1 clients served)

I want to point out the "Telnet WCALT.attlocal.net" (to me that does not look right. The IP is correct.

Just running out of ideas why I can't get this to work. I know you are probably tired of it as I am.

I want to point out the "Telnet WCALT.attlocal.net" (to me that does not look right. The IP is correct.

I don't think it has any bearing on your websocket problem. Your BBS looked up the hostname of the client and added it to the log, is all. How it arrived at WCALT.attlocal.net depends on various DNS things going on on your end. You can probably change that, but that's a whole other thing.

Just running out of ideas why I can't get this to work. I know you are probably tired of it as I am.

While the problem manifests itself in my web interface, it's not a problem *with* my web interface, so I'm not too concerned. (Sorry.)

There's something going wrong with ftelnet or websocketservice.js. I don't think there's any more information you need to provide (for now). I may yet be able to fix this, but I'll need to update my Synchronet installation and see if I can reproduce your problem here.

Thanks. I will hang in there. It's not critical it works but just frustrating that it doesn't. I had to switch from darktech.org and went with NO-IP for dns

Had some issues but I think I have them all corrected.
