A bit confused there.
Areas are positively there, but I get lost with that "Security Violation".
A hint please?
The address "24:30/0" is not listed in the Area File for the message
areas mentioned in the log messages.
It sounds like you have Secure Operation enabled (the help text from echocfg):
Secure Operation tells SBBSecho to check the Area File (e.g.
areas.bbs)
to insure that the packet origin (FTN address) of EchoMail
messages
is already linked to the EchoMail area where the message was
posted.
This setting defaults to No.

Areas are positively there, but I get lost with that "Security
Violation".
A hint please?
Open your areas.bbs file and see if 24:30/0 is on the same line as
those subs. If not, send an areafix message to Vince using %LIST to see what areas you're actually linked to and then manually edit the
areas.bbs file. It should look something like this:
sportnethockeyngh .HOCKEY_NHL.23:30/0
Do that for all the areas you're getting a security violation in.

then I managed to get everything processed..
I would need to run a test of some kind to ensure the echomails work on either direction for SportNet.

Bill, I notice Vince left me the InfoPack as he subscribed me to the
file list, so I got everything processed and nice a couple of days ago (apart of the above which now seems sorted).
Appreciated your help.

Disabling "Secure Operation" isn't really a fix however - it means
you're receiving messages for an area (echo) from a node which is not linked (listed in the area file) for that area. This is (usually) a problem.

Great to hear but I myself would always leave that oprion toggled to
YES. As long as your areas.bbs file has Vince as your uplink then you shouldn't have any problems...

Yeah, I am still testing all this.
In the old days, We had a couple of Nodes, but now I am setting up a
few more things, so getting on with some extra complexity + a product I
am still learning from.
And as you can imagine, getting back to Vince from time to time who currently got a strange issue onhis BBS as the areafix doesn't report
to which Areas I am subscribed to but some strange email with empty variables (he is chasing that one at the present).He added me to everything + the areafile, that's how I got the infopack and from there
I have added the Areas. So, a bit of a complication at the moment, but slowly getting there..
