Digital Man,
Something I didn't realise during the Mass Import of Areas is the following. I have imported the Usenet Groups from 0-B which is beyond the previous figure of 1900+, that's about 2000+.
For some reason it doesn't import all the file but part of it.
As A test , I have split the file in 2 and I have tried to create 2 different Message Areas, what happens is , the 1st import (again) imports the same number and before, and the second Area takes another 300+ and still a fraction of the second file is not being imported.
Basically the first batch stops at the following:
alt.bestjobsusa.sales
I have checked wether there are spaces or hidden characters, but I cannot find anything there, the file seems just all right.
Now, I wonder whether there is maybe any sort of limitations to the file upload?
I will email you the files I am uploading for further analysis.
Also, if you need anything from my side, please, let me know.

ANother thing I have noticed is the import doesn't respect long names.
Example of export of the current Areas from Synchronet:
ALT.BESTJOBSUSA.PORTLAND. ALT.BESTJOBSUSA.PORTLAND. ALT.BESTJOBSUSA.RETAIL ALT.BESTJOBSUSA.RETAIL ALT.BESTJOBSUSA.RETAIL.JO ALT.BESTJOBSUSA.RETAIL.JO
Actual names from the imported file:
alt.bestjobsusa.portland.jobs
