  • Invalid Packet Type

    Hi all,

    Just came across this error and not sure what to make of it yet:

    C:\sbbs\fido\inbound_n\55c66439.pkt is not a type 2 packet (type=9737)
    Bad packet detected: C:\sbbs\fido\inbound_n\55c66439.pkt

    Messed around with it a bit and changed it to *.zip. Inside the archive, there was another *.pkt file named soemthing completely different,. Extracted it and ran FIDOIN and the message inside was processed successfully.

    What might be going on here? Thanks in advance :)

    Sounds like someone sent you a bundle (archive) that was named *.pkt, errnoeously. I would work with whoever sent that packet/bundle to you to find out what may have happened or if something might be misconfigured, it may happen again.

    that's easy... someone renamed a mail bundle to the same name with PKT as the extension...
