  • Synchronet cross-platform alerter in development

    I'm in the process of developing a cross-platform Sysop alerter for Synchronet. One step that will take some changes to SBBS is to create a text file in a html-reachable text file if a user wants the sysop's attention. That would be the only server side change needed.

    The client is designed to work on Ubuntu, but should also work on other Unix's and even Windows. Right now I have a working prototype that is text-only but would work if the server created that file. I'm working on a graphic interface to it that should be cross platform using the Wx gui toolkit.

    Will keep you posted as it gets closer to being ready for testing, or if I get the SBBS change completed...
