• problems with windows 10 and sockets to ports

From Juergen Ihlau@1:103/705 to All on Tue May 22 16:30:30 2018
    Hi sysops,

after installing/moving synchro to a windows 10, I have a lot of problems binding services to ports. I think, it's the firewall of win 10. Bult also, if the firewall is deactivated manually, NNTP/119, MSP/18, Activeuser Socket, Finger socket and so on....

I don't find the place, to give the sockets free.
!!! But: If I use tcpview, all ports with error are in use by synchro! WTF?

The task-manager has 3 synchro tasks:
    Synchronet-Services
    synchronet SMTP/pop3
    synchronet terminal Server

I think, I have some thinking errors.... but where? How can I fix the
    binding errors?

That means you have Synchronet install as NT services. Was that intentional? You should be able to check/change these services using services.msc or sbbsNTsvcs.exe

I don't know of firewalls ever causing problems with binding. Most likely, you're trying to run multiple instances of sbbs and they're conflicting with eachother.

    Hi Digital Man,

    that was exactly the problem.
I deactivated the services and now all is running fine.
