• TickIT not tossing PW Echos

    From Android8675@1:103/705 to All on Fri May 4 10:23:25 2018
    So I get .tic files from my uplink, they are pw protected, sbbsecho.ini has a TicFilePwd field for my node... Here's my uplink settings:

    [node:1:218/700@fidonet]
    Name =
    Comment = FidoNet, reality bites
    Archive = ZIP
    PacketType = 2+
    PacketPwd = _______
    AreaFix = true
    AreaFixPwd = _______
    SessionPwd = _______
    TicFilePwd = _______
    Inbox =
    Outbox =
    Passive = false
    Direct = true
    Notify = false
    Keys =
    Status = Normal
    GroupHub =
    BinkpHost = realitycheckbbs.org
    BinkpPort = 24554
    BinkpPoll = true
    BinkpAllowPlainAuth = false
    BinkpAllowPlainText = false
    BinkpSourceAddress =

    my domain entry is:

    [domain:fidonet]
    Zones = 1,2,3,4,5,6,7
    DNSSuffix = fidonet.org
    NodeList = C:\Fido\nodelist\nodelist

    When I run tickit.js I get:

    5/4 10:22:12a Parsing C:/Fido/in.sec//AU220MGH.TIC
    5/4 10:22:12a Configured TicFilePwd is empty, but TIC file has a password, node: 1:218/700
    5/4 10:22:12a Timed event: TICKIT returned 0

    I am guessing here, but is tickit getting confused by the domain @fidonet? should I just remove all that nonsense? Did I configure something incorrectly? --

    ... QWK? I don't need no stinkin' QWK packet!

    /sigh, nevermind, apparently they are talking about it in the programming board.

    No, I've read somewhere that TickIt gets its password from the EchoCfg file, so that's how I've configured mine. I even tried adding a Password= and the password to my tickit.cfg file under the section for where the area config info goes... I still get the same error. I ended up writing a quick and dirty program in pascal to process all .tic files and all .TIC files as well, and remove the Pw: line from the bottom of the files, it now imports beautifully! I know, not the proper way of doing things, but hey, I don't have to manually move the files into the right directories and run the addfiles utility to add them to Synchronet's database....

    Yeah, I think tickit is confused when it encounters an @domain in the [node] header in sbbsecho.ini

    I'll just wait for a fix.
