Technical Question...(note I have read the wiki from synchronet)

is BinkD and BinIT about the same thing? same features?

Can I have some more input please?

BinkIT is a mailer writen in JS for synchronet. They both serve the same purpose but they are different.

BinkIT has the ability to crypt sessions with mailers that support the option CRYPT, like binkd for example.

BinkIT can't compress files on the fly like binkd does, at least not yet.

I've been using BinkIT with good results for a few months now connecting with Irex, Binkd and Mystic's mailer.

connecting with Irex, Binkd and Mystic's mailer.

Means you now have the choice of using a more integrated mailer with Synchronet, just like Mystic has. For a new installation, I'd say BinkIT is the way to go, unless it doesn't do something you need. I use Binkd, because that's what I'm used to. :)

Well, from I understand, BinkIT actually flushed out a bug in Mystic's mailer, which has since been fixed.

Yeah, I read the wiki page and I was seeking some more inout for users of both applications/modules, to hacve a better idea where to stand on my installation..
