  • Timed Event

    What does it mean when a timed event says:

    timed event: returned -1


    This shows up in the error log.

    What does it mean when a timed event says:

    timed event: returned -1

    This shows up in the error log.

    I think it means it didn't run, or didn't complete successfully (which
    is exit code zero).

    I had that happen with FIDOOUT this morning, and the control panel did
    crash. I was at the console when it happened, and I just noticed a
    statement in the Terminal Server window "End of preexisting log entry
    [possible crash]". I downloaded the new SBBS_DEV.ZIP and SBBS_RUN.ZIP
    this morning, copied them in, then restarted the control panel. I was
    offline overnight and this morning, due to thunderstorm potential.

    There's no name of the event? In any case, it means you have a timed event configured in SCFG->External Programs->Timed Events and that process (e.g. program/script/batch file) returned a non-zero error level to sbbs, indicating a problem.

    I thought it might be that but was nto sure. So I thought I would ask to be sure. It has a name when I put the information in here I missed typing that in.
