    I get mail many times every day from DX-Radio, he using PHPmailer 5.2.9
    and I get this error:

    23:54:31 2232 SMTP Executing: mailauth.js

    23:55:01 2232 TX: 452 ERROR -202 (smb_locksmbhdr timeout locking message base)
    saving message

    and in "Clients windows" that site never disconnecting:

    vsp02-out.oderland.com 29836 13:19:12

    and I must restart sbbsctrl to logoff him many times every day.
    Its only from him, all other mail working fine.

    Whats wrong?

    So, this tells me he's posting to a sub-board via SMTP.

    I suspect you have an out-of-date smblib? When is the last time you cvs-updated src/smblib?

    Also, just to be sure, double-check the validity of this sub-board he's trying to post to (it exists, it has no corruption or other problem).

    I tried this myself (posting to a sub-board via SMTP) just now and it worked here, so hopefully it's just a out-of-date code or a corrupted msgbase over there.

    Just checked, it is ok. This problem i had in at least 1 year now.
    Have tried to delete and start over, but same. But it not fail every time,
    next time after restart maybe working fine. Error is about 50% of the mail.

    I tried this myself (posting to a sub-board via SMTP) just now and it worked here, so hopefully it's just a out-of-date code or a corrupted msgbase over there.

    I will try to send them to my mail instead, and not sub-board, but
    it works fine with sub-board with all other I have.

    Is it possible that another SMTP session was posting to the same sub-board and and was locked-up (with the message base locked) or something along those lines? Breaking in with gdb when the BBS is in this state and providing a backtrace of all threads could be very helpful:

    Basically follow the directions here: http://wiki.synchro.net/howto:gdb and capture a "thread apply all bt" when you're having this problem.
