Hi when I added my BBS to the SBBSLIST I entered the default ports without realising I would then have to change these due to conflicts...
I thought after a altered my BBS ports on my own SBBSLIST they would auto-update on the vert.synchro.net list at midnight. But when I check the listing on vert.synchro.net the old ports are still shown. Is there any way I can get these amended or do I just need to wait longer for some kind of auto export?

why at midnight? the default SBL events don't run until 0300 (that's 3 o'clock
in the morning) local time...
Oh, is there any particular reason you didn't use AMSTRAD as your BBS's QWK-ID?
Seems a perfect fit for "Amstrad BBS". <shrug>
Do you have the "SBL2SMB" timed event configured correctly and can you check your event log that is running? The example configurations are shown here: http://wiki.synchro.net/module:sbbslist
yes a silly move by me there! I did set up an amstrad user too on dove-net. I think my logic was I could post as that user and the qwkid user wouldn't be able to post... that may be incorrect anyway as I'm still trying to learn how to set everything up correctly. Is there a way I can switch those users round and use amstrad as my qwk-id instead?

ah yes 3 is right! sorry I couldn't check when I posted on my phone so
was guessing a bit there!!
Just use the V for verify to verify your BBS and it should change your infoon
DM's list page.

ah thanks that explains it. My log has this:
SBL2SMB returned 0
In modopts.ini under SBBSLIST section I have:
export_freq = 7
So maybe I have to wait 7 days with that setting for the ports to update to the right ones?

Hi thanks, I tried this but the ports stay the same wrong ones one vert.synchro.net sbbslist... I tried verify but they are still the same. i also tried on my own bbs but it still hasn't updated vert.synchro.net

what is a QWKID user? you do not need to create a user named the same as your
qwkid, just set your qwekid under scfg and forget it, since you've already been
active using this one might as well stick with it right? if you go to createa
new one, and don't clear your message bases out there may be some issues.
Yeah, but I'd have to change the account types here on Vertrauen. Right now, Amstrad is a normal user account and SIMULANT is a QWKnet account (for a BBS connection).
V only verifies the entry... you want to 'U'pdate it to change the fields in the entry...

hi thanks. who sees the qwkid, is it worth changing or does it not help the users in any way?

It's up to you, but it is a bit odd to have your QWK-ID the same as your alias. What do you have set in SCFG->Message Options->BBS ID?

Hi yes please if you can swap these. I've updated all my settings to use the AMSTRAD qwk-id account now instead. I'm replying also now with this account in
case it hasn't sent the reply from my BBS on the simulant user (due to updating my settings). Thanks :)
ps. Do I also have to do this step again from the wiki once you've swapped them?
"Logon to your BBS and post a message in each of the DOVE-Net message areas to SBBS with subject ADD"

Anyone that downloads QWK (offline reader or networking) packet from your BB
will see your QWK-ID and use it in reference to your BBS (they know that VERT.REP is the "REPly" packet for Vertrauen, for example).##
It also shows in the message headers that come from your BBS:
+------------------------....
| Subj: Updating SBBS list ports
| Attr: Replied ## ##
| To : KK4QBN # # ##
| From: Simulant (SIMULANT) # ###
| Date: Tue Mar 06 2018 06:42 am UTC (15.5 hours ago) ## ###
+-----------------------------------------------......rs.
Let me know if you want me to change it (swap the normal and QWKnet user). I think it's a good idea.

No. In fact, the easier way to adjust your QWK settings (include sub-boardsin
the packets) is from the QWK: prompt anyway. But I just swapped your usernames
and passwords (Simulant<->AMSTRAD), so you should be good to go. No changes needed on your end.
