• Problems editing head.asc

Hi I'm just trying to set up some graphics on my board but I'm struggling a bit with Pablodraw and editing the head.asc file.

    I've ran asc2ans head.asc head.ans

Then when I open up head.ans in PabloDraw the Ctrl-A codes seem to overlap onto the next line and the head doesn't show as it would on syncterm...

I also tried syncdraw (I'm on linux) but struggled with that one too as though the width sat right, the Ctrl-A codes didn't show up and were just black.

I'd like to use PabloDraw if possible, but just wondered if I'm missing something with loading in that ansi header?

    Thanks for any help.

That's because the @-codes are longer than the normally-expanded text.

Nope. If you remove or replace the @-codes, that'd make it appear in PabloDraw as you expect.

    aw
    as you expect.

I opened up the asc file in my OS text editor (Kate), took out the @***@ bits and saved it. Then I opened it up in PabloDraw and it looks ok.

The problem I now have is that I then put some new text over the logo and drew a few lines, saved it and ran ans2asc to convert it back to ascii but ans2asc gives this error "Unsupported ANSI code 't' (0x74)"

Thanks for any help again to fix this, it would be nice to be able to drop some logos and graphics in and get the BBS looking the part for my users. Any help or tips are much appreciated...

That's pretty weird ('t' is not a valid ANSI code). If you send me the file I can have a look at it.

However, PabloDraw can save directly to .asc file format (what it calls Ctrl-A format).
