Awhile ago I was reading about someone who put together a weather door. Can someone point me in the right direction as to who/where I can get a copy. Reason I ask is it seems Weathegate no longer works with Weather Underground.

You could probably make something to interface with your weatherstation, but his one actually interfaces with weather underground using your api key.

Not sure Joe. You have to get agi key from weather underground and I'm sure the program uses that key to access the weather. It's free... :)

I have a web interface for it, so perhaps I can put that into the web side somehow.. As for making something, a programmer I am not :(

Nor am I, but I do know that sbbs already has the JS available to interface with it then if it outputs html, exactly how to interface with it, beyond me. I do well enought to get into someone elses code to configure/modify it, still don't have the ability to write anything from scratch. I've sat and looked into the mods directory and tried to make heads or tails of all the modules, and then look at someone elses code and see how they make use of them, I get some of it, but I presume I lack the abstract though, or get writers block or something.
Thats the way I am with math, never been good with anything the way "the system" tried to teach me, but can still solve whatever I need to the way "I" know how.
Used to do some programming many years ago. Pascal, and Basic. Forgot almost all of the Pascal, but could probably still make a go in basic. Still use some of those programs I wrote back then. I kept GWBasic from the old DOS setup <G>

I never could grasp Pascal either, but I did a little tinkering with VB and QB, actually wrote a couple cheesy LORD IGMS using QB and QWKIGM that are still being used today, and wrote a fairly decent taxi management suite for the company I was working for, I would write it when calls would be at a minimum in the dispatch office. that company is still using that software 15 years later.
I think maybe if I had more time and patience I could probably grasp enough concept of JS to start writing stuff, and thats what I really want to do it in. it just seems so dang flexible for what we need in the BBS world, especially since it just about can be interfaced with ANYTHING. I've been using EChickens stuff as study material, because he seems cool enough to not bash me if I have a question, he even helped me with something someone else wrote at one point when I was having communications issues. I'd really like to give back to any hobby community I'm in. BBSing or ham, etc. And I still do I presume, in my own little way.. But I would like to start writing some addons.

Lol, sadly enough, Thats pretty much what holds me back, I don't have the patience anymore nor really the health to sit at the computer that long without my lower extermities going numb. (too much driving and a bad back I presume). I do what I can though.
