Hi Digital Man,
Would yoyu please tell me what file and where it is located that controls where all the file areas are?
For some reason all the file areas I had have disappeared
and now they are
all in my data\dir directory and that is not where they have been.
They have
all been on my D drive. But when I go in and look they are now all gone for some reason. Is there a way I can get this all back form a older backup I have to restore all to where and what they were?
If it's a configuration file problem (e.g. you overwrite files in your ctrl directory from CVS or .zip), then you restore a backup of your .cnf files and you should be all good. There should also be auto-backups of .cnf files (e.g. file.0.cnf) in your ctrl dir as well.

I found the problem and got it fixed now. It was the files in the CTRL directory is where the problem was. I restored them from a backup and all returned to normal.
But I do have a question about those files in the CTRL directory (.cnf) files, can they be put in the mods directory and have ti still find them and use them from there?
I was jsut curious if it could be done with them like other files can be put in the mods directory...
