In the SYNCDATA sub-board, I see my avatar was exported just a couple days ago (on the 24th). Last I saw though, my old avatar was still being shown on your BBS.
in the 'From' field in the header, although in the JSON it did use "Nightfox". Does it matter if the SYNCDATA post had my real name in the header?

It is. If you edit your data/user/0001.ini file, you can change or clear the "last_exported" date of your avatar. That should allow it to ex-export immediately the next time your AVAT-OUT event runs. And the (new) timestamp in the exported message body should defeat duplicate message checking (e.g. here on VERT).
