BBSing over 30 years ago...and I met the woman who'd eventually become m wife and Co-Sysop, on that BBS. The college is still there, but the BBS
That's cool that your wife was the co-sysop. Seems to me that most spouses N>wouldn't give much thought to their spouse's BBS (or in some cases might even N>think it's an odd hobby).
Even though she had poor eyesight (and THICK glasses), she could spot
a typo in a bulletin, etc. What was "worse" was that she was EXTREMELY COMPETITIVE in the doorgames...a great winner, but you talk about a sore loser!! <G> When she'd see my score ahead of hers, she'd say "Don't you
want any tonight??", and I'd say "It's the way the game played".
She'd then spit like an angry cat...the same reaction I got for
violating the one cardinal rule...LEAVE THE TOILET SEAT DOWN!! Nothing
more needed to be said...I knew I was guilty. :P
But, while the BBS was dial-up, we truly were "Married With Modem Sysops"...never mind "Do You, Sysop...take this BBS...to be your
lawfully wedded spouse??"!! Well, it was in the bedroom, but I felt like
I was getting screwed. <BG>
