  • Running Synchronet and ac

    After running MASH 4077 BBS in the 90s with on it's peak 6 analog lines with
    U
    Robotics V.Everything modems and 2 ISDN Channels with a TELES ISDN adapter I thought of trying to have this SychroNET BBS :)

    Is Hot Lips a regular there? :)

    I saw her at a bowling alley in south Florida 45 years ago, when they
    were doing a promotion. That bowling alley is long gone, though...as is
    much of the MASH cast.

    Hahahah.. I wish.. glad to read its working. Now I have to edit/create some custom ANSI/ASC screens and promoting my BBS. Feels like coming home after years.

    Actually nobody... no users yet hahaha... hope to see some users soon but have to customize the board.

    Hope you find it as enjoyable as before. It has its ups and downs but I MP>usually do. When you get those ANSIs done, you will have to share a few in MP>the BBS ads echo.

    I'm not good with ANSI. What I'll do is create the ascii version with
    high ascii characters in the MS-DOS Editor, then add the ANSI codes. I
    always had trouble with things getting created in TheDraw.

    Synchronet has a utility which converts the ANSI codes to CTRL-A
    codes, and that's what I use with "The Local Weather Brief" bulletin
    over here. That was originally from a door designed for TriBBS systems.
    I edit the data manually, but it gives a quick overview of Arkansas
    weather.

    add your BBS to http://telnetbbsguide.com. I get a lot of new users from that (maybe one or two a week, more when I first added it a year ago).

    I also have a facebook page set up, but honestly the only people who have "liked" it appear to be those who reside in the Middle East. I'm not sure what's going on there, but none of them have ever called, nor do they interact with any posts I've made.
