Hi all,
Using PabloDraw, I created a .bin file with a set of 4 avatars. I saw the PabloDraw tips on the Synchronet wiki not to use iCE colors and to add an extra line to the bottom when saving, as well as using 'jsexec sauce' to edit the sauce comments, all of which I have done. However, the last avatar is not being displayed by avatar_chooser.js. I ran 'jsexec avatars verify' to verify my .bin file, and it says it has invalid SAUCE (datatype=5 cols=10 size=460). I'm not sure exactly what I need to do to fix it.. Is the size perhaps incorrect?

It's almost certainly that extra-line bug in PabloDraw. Pablo truncates BIN files by one line when it saves them. Make sure to add an extra line at the bottom before you save. I usually just type the letter "x".
Just reload it in pablodraw and double-check it (and add the extra line before saving).

Look at you getting all artistic!
I also saw your R2D2 via one of echicken's links or screenshots of making this all available via his web stuff. I'm damn impressed for a guy that claims he's not an artist! ;)
Kudos, this is a neat mod that I'd like to incorporate at some point. However my message header is currently unable to display it (ansi plus message information), so I would have to come up with something entirely different, or just go back to a text header which leaves a lot of space to play with.
God forbid I dust off my Pablodraw. I don't think I've drawn anything to completion since uhh, my last releases in Blocktronics.. I blame kids. ;)
Well I've improved a lot in a week. When I first started experimenting a couple of weeks ago, I couldn't make a decent circle to save my life. After many hours of drawing Star Wars figures and musical instruments, etc., I think I'm okay now.
The current scheme is to display the avatar (10 x 6) right justified, over-writing any header information that may have happened to reach that area of the screen (very rare, at least normally).
So if you update to the latest 3.17, it'll just do that (by running showmsgavatar.js), unless you have a custom msghdr.asc (do you?) in
which case you need to add an INCLUDE @-code to execute
showmsgavatar.js or create your own if you don't that display area
doesn't work for you.
My kids have actually enjoyed grading my avatars. We play a game where I ask them to identify them (without any text or clues) and if they can't, then I work on it some more. :-) They help me correct for my color-blindness too.

Your kids are probably a little older than mine. Keeping attention in something
they have no idea about is still pretty tough at this point (10 and 7).
I'm more excited our son takes to any sport he wants to try, and ends up pretty
damn good at it (he's the older one). Same for our daughter.. We tried soccer and a couple other things with her and she showed no interest.. until we put her in the most ********* expensive thing (gymnastics and/or dance) and all of a sudden she loves it! (she has no idea on the price, of course.. just figures it would happen that way. Divas, and all. ;)
Ha! Try 6 years of club volleyball. Definitely, *not* cheap. She retired at the end of last season (summer '17), so next up college. <sigh>

Ouch, that doesn't sound like fun, and I definitely won't be looking forward to
it. ;)
Expensive, but fun. I miss it actually. :-/

What, college?
The thing that scares me is that most kids that go to college end up in a career they never went to college for in the first place. Basically completely shitting on all the money you spend on their additional schooling.
Hopefully that won't be the case, but I have another 8 years to worry about that. ;)
We're not sure yet. Possibly UC Irvine.
Yeah. My oldest (16) has a 4.2 GPA and is already taking collegeThat's awesome. Our son (10) is getting random "extra and unnecessary" homework
courses, so she'll have a year of college credit done (for free, basically) by the time she graduates HS. And then we're hoping for
some scholarship(s), so we don't go broke paying for it. That degree
is definitely worth some duckets down the road though...

so the whole "new math" thing has been an issue for him, even though he solves the problems without any of it and faster than kids 2 grades
above him. ;)
all others, but their new way of teaching is actually dragging him
down.

Yeah. My oldest (16) has a 4.2 GPA and is already taking college courses,
What scale is that? Most of the time, the highest possible GPA I've seen is 4.0.
