Just like to ask to were I can get .js scripts from per skyedit.js
Do you mean SlyEdit?
Also, did you just set up a fresh Synchronet installation? If so, I
seem to recall that SlyEdit is included with the Synchronet 3.16
installer and should be already configured.v
One place it's available is in the Synchronet CVS repository. The .js scripts are in the exec directory: http://cvs.synchro.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/exec
You'd want SlyEdit.js, SlyEdit_DCTStuff.js, SlyEdit_IceStuff.js, and SlyEdit_Misc.js.
The documentation is here:
http://cvs.synchro.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/docs
You want SlyEdit_ReadMe.txt
The SlyEdit configuration files (ones starting with Sly and ending in .cfg) are here:
http://cvs.synchron.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/ctrl.
I also have SlyEdit available as a stand-alone .zip package here: http://www.digitaldistortionbbs.com/DigDistBBSStuff/DigDistBBSStuff.html
what I was trying to ask was other js scripts just using SlyEdit as
a example, like door.js (maybe not the right name but that came to mind)
and sbbslist.js been of wiki and would like to now to were I can get these files, like to have a go at it,unless it for web only
exec/sbbslist.js
exec/load/sbbslist_lib.js
exec/load/sbbslist_html.js
exec/load/sbbsdefs.js
exec/load/sockdefs.js
exec/load/portdefs.js
exec/load/modopts.js
exec/load/graphic.js
Re: Re: Js Scripts
exec/load/portdefs.js
exec/load/modopts.js
exec/load/graphic.js
These are in CVS (http://cvs.synchro.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/exec/) as well as archived daily in ftp://synchro.net/Synchronet/sbbs_run.zip
(and tgz).

There are quite a few installed in the /sbbs/xtrn directory you can try out. Some of them are installed by default and some are not.
Dragon Lance is a good one along the lines of lord but not the same.

The echicken ones are great and real easy to install, too. I like jeopardized the best. Also, there is a version of tradewars. I cannot get it to work but I have seen it running on other systems.

Thank you for the reply, and yes noticed all the installed fault
games in games menu, I have got a hold of sbbs_run.zip and see
more games there ie Dragon Lance, I did pick out tw2 but I
am not having any joy with that, I posted in fidonet doors
if you would lke to check it out

I am not in Fidonet ATM, so I can't look there unless I can find that
echo somewhere. I'll be back in Fidonet soonish.
Even though a lot of Fidonet is a wasteland these days, there are still some good echoes around. Lately, I've found IPV6, LINUX and BINKD to be quite helpful, the latter helping me sort out a tricky binkd issue. Just stay away from the sysop echoes. ;)

Tradewars v.ii and Dragan Lance both need entries in yourctrl/json-service.ini
in order to run.

I have a lot of friends in those echoes though.. so I'm going to have a look. It's true we don't always agree but then isn't real life the
same?
It's all part of the journey. Care to join me? :)

Okay thank you for this info per sysop echoes and I did post in Fidonet doors
hoping same one will help with my problem with tw2 , it be same thing
that I haven't done but don't now what.
that's cool should have posted it in dove-net but that's cool
will it work on windows 8 64 bit
when I enter via the games menu online bbslink came up with crazybbs tradewars and not tw2, and unsure why.
I got Jeopardized! to work so that's cool.
Al wrote to Sneaky <=-

I haven't used windows for a very long time so I have no experience but
I think it should. These JS doors are all run from Synchronet so I
think it will work as expected.

Synchronet's JS doors tend to be OS independent. I see no reason why
it wouldn't work on Win64.

I'm reading you in dove-net so no worries.. :)

Make sure you have unique internal codes for all your doors. It sounds like maybe you have two doors with the internal code TW2.

I'm not on the doors echo, so no idea what it's like there.

I see you're running Synchronet, so asking in the Synchronet echo is another alternative. That's not a bad echo either, it's gated to
DOVE-Net at the source, I believe.

Just to let you now that Al & Tony so thank you to both, help me get
the tw2.js to work, I had 2 the same
internal codes once I put tw2 in there its, now works fine, so yes .js does work on windows 8 64 bit.

yes it does get gated to dovenet from ftn or the other way round and
yes I am Synchronet I stick
with this echo, for help or questions, but not in sysops.
I'm usually lurking in the Fido sysop echoes, but rarely say anything. :D
... I had a troubled childhood; I was breast fed from falsies.
There was recent fix to jsexec which allowed the tw2/twint500.js to work (again). If you try it again and it doesn't work, let me know.

I got tired of all the flaming, so I don't read them. The only one I access is the one for the FIDONet Region 19 Sysops.

You needed to milk that situation a bit more. :P

Glad to hear it worked out. Yes, understanding internal codes is key
to understanding Synchronet. And I've used the Javascript code on my
Pi without any problems.

Yep. Now to work out my file area codes, so I can start using Tickit.
Sneaky wrote to Tony Langdon <=-
Okay, cool what's the chances you helping me with this one when you done
if not no props, just asking.
From memory, it's pretty straightforward - setup the file areas in
SCFG, then add them in tickit.ini.

okay I have had a try to setup tickit put tickit.* into there
dirs I hope I edit tickit.ini per areas etc although I might
be missing same tickit.* file not sure, I tried to
run jsexec tickitcfg.js tried cannot have done it right
as when I came to the bit were it says location/links just went
back to prompt, any way i manual edited the tickit.ini

I haven't had time to setup Tickit yet, it's high up on my todo list.
I did try getting it working on 3.16c, and surprisingly it did work for some echoes, most notably the Fidonet nodelist one. But Tickit was designed for SBBS 3.17, so it didn't fully work.
Now, I have 3.37, so
it should all work fine, once setup. :)
Sneaky wrote to Tony Langdon <=-
That's is cool, I have 3.17 and seems to be running fine for me now
,got over
the password problem so that's good, and will have to keep a eye on
(it did work for
some echoes,) ok so far.
now just like to find out if tickit has a log so I can post into
messages chos
to if and when you do set it up if you can procces one

cool, where can I get a hold of 3.37, or was that meant to be 3.17 :)

Cool, I haven't had time to look at anything this past couple of days.

Yeah it's going to take a while, time is tight this time of year.

Typo, I have 3.17. :D

Reading back at same messages posted, tickit doesn't create a
log or newfiles.txt to post to echoes only log on sbbs control panel
for errors, it just tosses the tic files, but if you can find away
that's great , but only when you have that time.

OK, well it's not looking likely I'll get to it this week..
