Hi

Ok well tickit as a tosser and sending out to my links seems to be working
but now i just went to have a down link test out doing an areafix to turn on
a filearea and they got this back,

infopack not found.

so i went to the tickit.ini to search for that area to see if it was even in there and it was

[INFOPACK]
Path=/sbbs/files/fidonet/INFOPACK
Links=1:128/187,1:317/3,1:305/1,3:770/330

so the area is in there but areafix did not see if so how do i go about
getting areafix to work now thanks

Tickit is a file processor, right? I believe "areafix" is used for messages only. You may want to look into "filefix" instead.

Well in the first 3 lines of the wiki at

its says
In a recent change to SBBSecho/EchoCfg v3 and tickit.js, the TIC file
password for each FTN-linked node is now stored in the TicFilePwd key of
the corresponding [node] section of the sbbsecho.ini file and can be
managed via AreaFix and via echocfg.

so thats what i was going by?

so thats what i was going by?

That just means you can change the TicFilePwd value for a linked node by using AreaFix NetMail commands. That's all.

FYI I just had someone try filefix for me and it didn't work at all went to
my netmail as a msg and thats it so no go thanks for the idah tho :(
