    puzzling to me and something I'd like to get to the bottom of, if possible. Is >it possible that something else in your echomail message path is modifying >message headers?

    Not too long ago, I think Mark Lewis was on the hunt for a system that was modifying MSGIDs, but that sounds like something a little different than
    what you are seeing.

    Yeah, this looks more like a system that is modifying the message date/time.

    that was completed... in the case of one software package, they did stop stripping trailing spaces on control lines... that is what was messing up the hash calculations for duplicate detection... it came about because some systems
    treat (at least) the MSGID control line as a string of characters while other systems break out the fields into individual parts... those breaking out the fields tend to lose things like trailing spaces...

    but that sounds like something a little different than what you are seeing.
