• crashing SBBS

Seems I may have found a way to crash sbbs.

I was trying to send netmail, and inadvertantly entered the wrong domain, which ended up being longer than 8 characters.

As soon as I hit enter, everything sbbs died, with no messages in any logs.

I tried this three more times to confirm it was repeatable (read - I didn't double check the address)
and then used the correct domain and the netmail sent just fine.

So.. not sure if related to something build-specific on my system, or if this is a more 'general' item. I am on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

Maybe some others could try entering netmail on their systems and addressing to something like hemo@ujointbbs and see if something crashes.

I would hope to see a message about incorrect domain or similar, rather than the sudden disconnect and then having to restart bbs services.

    thanks,
    ;)

Thanks for the report. Should be fixed now in CVS.

Lol, I've had SBBSCTRL crashing on me randomly for a bit now, I don't thing it's the software though, more than it is my hardware, I get to the point to where I get so many connections/requests at once I believe the machine cannot handle it, I'm not getting any error messages, nothing in logs to show whats happening where, but if I run in debug mode it crashes more, so it just leads me to believe Im over taxing my system.

I don't believe I've ever had the console version crash on me yet, but I like using the interface, etc of sbbsctrl. if I can ever bring you anything of value from the crashes, I will :)
