With a new router, a LinkSys EA7300, with 20 ports for forwarding BBS features, I was able to add SSH logons. However, in looking at the
log, I am constantly seeing "Read Failure". I have SSH "enabled" under
the Terminal Server...could I be doing something else wrong??

You are getting those errors because Mirai bots are trying to connect to your K>port 22 and not using proper protocol.
