I am so close to getting these games running on Linux. I have LORD working and LORD 2 is ALMOST there.
The only problem I have with LORD2 is that the status bar at the bottom is messing up. It looks like it is spaced wrong and this time/number at the end of it is attaching to every line.

The game works but at the end of every line is "119:53" and it is counting down.

Anyone seen this? On LORD, you could eliminte the status bar. I dont see that option on LORD 2.

DOSEMU is a mother to get right.

I've not seen that behavior with LORD 2.

You got that right. I do have it working rather well, though I did go through many trials and errors along the way. If you get stuck, I'd be willing to show you my configs and we could compare notes.

I think the problem has to do with the status bar. I have a good status bar when I run locally. In the BBS, the status bar wraps around on the first screen. Then disappears on the next screen. However, that number is suppose to be on the right side of the status bar. It is repeated on every line.

are there any Synchronet door settings that would affect this?

I suspect that the problem is the node file. The system is trying to pull the name from the node file and is gettting something else. It looks like a number, maybe the node number. Displaying this information is throwing off the bottom status bar.

oh well. Will keep hitting it with a stick.

So, I used SyncTERM instead of putty and changed the number of lines to 28 instead of 25 and the game looked good. The problem went away. Change back to 25 lines, the problem reappears.

So, not sure why the game would need 28 lines.
