From Mojo@1:103/705 to All on Mon Nov 21 13:17:28 2016
Is there a way to make it so when I logon my bbs it does not show me a list of all the bbs's that have sent me a voting.dat file?

Right now I am only getting ti from one place but I was getting it from three at one time.

    Thanks
    Mojo

You shouldn't be getting that message, so it's an indication that something is amiss.

Logon to the "one place" with your QWKnet account and make sure that the QWK setting for "VOTING.DAT" is set to "No".

Or upgrade to a recent dev build of v3.17a. :-)

I do not have a QWk account at Valhalla BBS, as I do not poll that system for any messages. But that system polls my system for a QWk net I have here, and that system gets messages from my system.

Ah, I see. I guess Valhalla is running a recent development and you are not. Currently, there's no way to prevent the VOTING.DAT files from being added to .REP packets. I'll look into making that, and HEADERS.DAT while I'm at it, optional for uploading to QWKnet hubs.

    Thanks Digital Man,

I need to update to the latest stuff but just have not gotten around to it. Is there anything special I need to do to be up to date with this new stuff you are working on?

    Thanks again

The only thing "special" is probably the text.dat changes. If you have a custom text.dat, you'll need to merge in the changes or (if not) just over-write yours with the one from CVS.

Okay cool, so I haven't changed any think in text.dat so I can just over-write my 3.16 to 3.17a frojm the CVS

just 1 question do I have to do that command were I changed the sbbsecho.cfg to sbbsecho.ini
when I did it in 3.16 or is that all sorted now.

    Thank you

If you already ran sbbsecho_upgrade.js, you do not have to run it again.
