I'm curious if anyone is using the HS/Link file transfer
protocol under Synchronet. I have a registered copy of it,
and will be using FHSLINK (the fossil version of it) for
the BBS.
I'm not sure how well 3rd-party transfer protocols would work over telnet. N>Back in the 90s, I used to have several other protocols set up on my BBS N>besides the standard X/Y/Zmodem, but these days I'm not sure if there's much N>point over telnet.
I was able to get the fossil version of DSZ (FDSZ) working with VGA
Planets, as well as the Classified Ads and Business Cards doors (the
latter 2 from Sunrise Doors software).
Also, is your HS/Link executable from the DOS days? If so, it probably won't N>handle long filenames and would probably end up sending an 8.3 filename to th N>user.
I don't have any long filenames on the BBS...all are with 8.3
standard. But, I registered it when I had the original program, and when
I called up FHSLINK (the fossil version of it), it showed as registered
as well. So, it should work.
My main question was with the command line for the path if the user is downloading several files at once. Just like Zmodem, HS/Link can handle
several files at a time...but it can also do uploads and downloads simultaneously.
