• Using HS/Link Under Synchronet

From Daryl Stout@1:103/705 to All on Thu Oct 19 18:52:30 2017
I'm curious if anyone is using the HS/Link file transfer
protocol under Synchronet. I have a registered copy of it,
and will be using FHSLINK (the fossil version of it) for
    the BBS.

If you're using it, what command lines do you have??
The original documentation for it does NOT include the
    Synchronet BBS software.

I think I can figure out the option to receive files
from users...but not sure what option for users to
    download files.

I'm not sure how well 3rd-party transfer protocols would work over telnet. Back in the 90s, I used to have several other protocols set up on my BBS besides the standard X/Y/Zmodem, but these days I'm not sure if there's much point over telnet.

Also, is your HS/Link executable from the DOS days? If so, it probably won't handle long filenames and would probably end up sending an 8.3 filename to the user.

    There's a configuration example (for v2.3) here: http://synchro.net/docs/file_section.html#TransferProtocols
