Use the "additional echolists" feature of SBBSecho and only allow
    them
    to
areafix from the additional echolists (not your area file).

ok i know it had something to do with that area but what format do i
    need
to make the other list do i do it like the areas.bbs? and do i need
    to do
anything to the areas.bbs ? and when ppl do do an areafix where will
    it
put the link in the other list or in the areas.bbs? thanks for the
    help
    so far
i know it had something to do with that :)

The additional echolists are in "echolist" format, e.g. BACKBONE.NA.

You shouldn't need to change anything in your areas.bbs file.

Yes, when your nodes perform areafix, it'll add/remove their links from
    your
    areas.bbs file.
