    I just testing tickit.js
    I get this error:
2017-08-12 09:43:28 Packet password is empty, but TIC has a password
I dont have a Packet password for mail because it not working for me.
I tried with keyword "IgnorePassword" but it dont working.
Is it any workaround for this?
Would be nice with a "Password=xxx" keyword in tickit.ini

Perhaps you should get that fixed.

Sure. I didn't write tickit.js nor have I used it.

case may be important... generally speaking, PKT passwords are all uppercase...
they can be a maximum of 8 characters long... the binary PKT header just cannot
carry longer passwords... most tossers force upper case on them... you should be able to look at a PKT in its original state and see what password is in it...

What is "it" in that sentence, SBBSecho? Do you have a log snippet and an example packet?

With tickit.js (and as far as I know, this is the *only* file processor built this way), it is a requirement that the TIC password matches the packet password. You can not have one or the other. You must use both.

So if you want to use a TIC password, you need to setup a packet password with your hub as well, and make them the same password. Otherwise, getting rid of the TIC password and _not_ having a packet password would also work.

You only need the Links= line if you want to send files you receive out to other nodes along with tics. You don't need to add your uplink.

    Hi

OK well i somewhat got tickit working on my linux system i still can't get
it to do areafixes so if someone can help me with that one that would be
great i tryed to send a areafix to it like it said in the wiki page on
setting it up but it came back with a msg saying that the sare wasn't there
but i know it was so something it still not quite right but it is tossing
files and sending files out for the most part so i moved on to my win sbbs system so i set it up a little diff then the linux one i used paths on the linux tickit.ini and in the windows one i used DIR but when i run jsexec tickit.js it does nothing all i get is this

I would try running tickit.js with jsexec but I have no inbound tics at thew moment to try it on.

the only diff is on the linux one i use PATH= and on win i use DIR= but i

Tickit will do nothing if it can't figure out what to do. It will leave the files and tics in your inbound.

    I've seen that here.. :)

I only have experience on linux and on my machine it logs the output in /var/log/messages or on the console if not daemonized. There must be a similar log or console output on windows but I'm not sure where it is.

I've never used Path= here but looking at tickit.ini it looks like files will be moved there but of course not imported into the BBS so if you want those files imported to the BBS use Dir=.

I don't think (but I could be wrong) tickit has a filefix feature so you'll need to add nodes that you want to send those files on to yourself. Nodes can change their tic password with areafix but not add areas remotely.
