My BBS was actually not infected, My virus software runs in the background a DG>caught all the uploads of photo.scr and it actually deleted every copy.

Avast is what I use.

anyway we all pretty much blocked uploading to our systems except for uploa
to the sysop, I prefer to add all my own content anyway.

I went through all of my file bases today (over 200), and did the
;UPLOAD SYSOP option -- then updated the list of all files (thank
goodness for knowledge of writing batchfiles).

For the most part, I went ahead and added the FILES.BBS file for the directories, with the description of "Description Of Files In This
Area". I did find some files I missed, and a few that missed the ZIP
integrity check, so those were zapped.

I also changed the category that New/Unverified/Guest Users can view
or download from...to ONLY one area in File Board 1. It has things like
the BBS Disclaimer, The System Overview, History Of The BBS, files on
policies, etc. I created a new file board for Uploads...that board, and
all the rest of them, are for Verified Users In Good Standing ONLY.

So, while to the New/Unverified/Guest Caller, it looks like I have
only 4 message bases, 1 file area, and under 50 doors...they can't see
the full picture that Verified Users in Good Standing can. Plus, I have additional areas and categories for amateur radio operators, Visiting
Sysops who previously ran GT Power software (when it was shareware), and
some "bizarre file areas", for those over 18 years of age.

While I do NOT have pornographic material (sexual intercourse outside
of the marriage relationship between a man and a woman (husband and
wife)), the most nudity is "the back side" with the "buttocks". I know
from being a widower that "we are all the same from the back side". <G>
