Hi Daryl,
I also run my ham radio traffic nets on the same desktop computer.
The ham radio is very intersting topic and I will have spend some time with it.
Peer Block is also a interesting thing to use in daily sysop work. Its running at my box now. THX for the good hint. I try to downlaod the chinese blocklist and compare it with ip.can and make an update. I think, its better to use a multistage security concept.
Here at my home the first router works with a firewall connected to the ISP cable; after this comes the watchguard firewall and the WLAN access point with another firewall behind that and other protection mechanisms like MAC filter...
Snychro runs at time on a i7-4770 (windows 10 64 Bit) which I use for daily work. But I'm new to synchro. My plan is, to use a PIII (or an older Athlon DEL Server with Linux) which runs on on Windows server 2003 or switch to Linux Debian and run a linux Synchro. But I'm a liiiiittle bit worry about that, because I don't know, if its possible to import my current configuration from windows-based synchro to a linux based snycho.
THX & greetz
