• MIS - Under linux

From Mike Fenton@1:229/310 to All on Fri Aug 4 06:58:42 2017
So I'm testing out MIS under linux.

I'm loading it with the switch of -d. Is there anyway to login and load MIS's gui once it's loaded as a daemon ?

daemon's run detached and in the background... there is no WFC (Wait For Connection) or similar screen... if you want that screen, you have to log into your system and run mis normally, not as a daemon... it is the nature of daemons...

Okay, well i'll use nodespy to break into chat when needed.

When using mis as a daemon, you can use nodespy for a GUI.

No there isn't. I tried to figure out a way to do it at one point but I wasn't successful at the time. Unix daemons do not have a console attached to the process for MIS to present a GUI.

This very situation is why I created NodeSpy, which admittedly could use a
bit more work done to it. I just finished adding SSH and RLOGIN to NodeSpy terminal actually, for the next alpha.
