  • Sysop ACS not enough to read emails?

    I have set Sysop ACS to s255, but still can't see anything that is not addressed to/from myself.

    I've noticed this with netmails as well. I've had some automated netmails
    sent to "Regional Coordinator" or "Network Coordinator" that I hadn't yet set to forward to me, so they just sat there unread, I could see from the
    numbering of messages that something was there, but Mystic wouldn't let me
    read them. I had to open one of the jam base files in a text editor to see what they were/who they were addressed to.

    I am still not getting his messages via my FidoNet feed, not sure what is happening there but I have seen replies to a few posts all from him that I never saw.

    But to answer the question I do not allow even the SysOp to read everyone else's private messages, and that is by design. Of course its possible to get around that in a few different ways.

    As you noted if you have alternative names you should set them up to forward to your main account name.
