  • MIS events do not appear to be firing

    I've set up events in MIS using the methods described on YouTube by Mystic Guy.
    On a command line, all of the shell commands work as described. They are all marked Active in Mystic config. Some are semaphore, some are interval. None appear to actually
    fire.

    I've confirmed this by letting outbound packets sit there forever, while checking the fidopoll log, the log will never update from the last time I ran it.

    Case in point: I send a message on a echomail board. Unless I fire things manually, neither Mutil nor Fidopoll will ever be invoked.

    This is on Ubuntu 64-bit.

    Does anyone have ideas?

    Check in your shell line your have syntax like this..

    ./mutil mailin.out|./fidopoll send


    ..in other words if you're using a linux system including a ./ prior to the executable is the way to go. Then close your MIS and restart it.

    Also good to run MIS not in deamon mode for now so you can watch events
    firing etc. also check the code that is returned from the events system. If
    it looks funny let me know and I can guide you.

    Here's an exact shell line from my setup:

    mutil mailout.ini|fidopoll forced|mutil mailin.ini

    I didn't even consider the ./. I'll try changing that and see if it helps.

    Unfortunately, this is in a cloud VM, so running non-daemon would be pretty challenging.
