Hello all, just need a little advice here with my tic setup. I am assuming that where it asks for node address , that would be mine. Is that correct ? and the export to is for my uplink where I get the files from or would that
be for whom I would have as a downlink or both?

IIRC, yes... that's your node address to use for that area... if you have more than one address, you need to ensure you use the right one... export is other systems that you get/send files in this area to... you should be able to mark a
system as "send only" indicating that it sends to you and you do not send to it
in this area... other systems should be able to be marked as "receive only" which means you send to them and do not receive anything from them in this area... it has been a while since i was in that section and i have an alpha from the previous release so these last settings may or may not exist or be completed yet...

That does not exist yet, echonodes added to the 'export to' section of a
file base setup are those that are:

1. Created when a file base is auto created by Mystic because a system with
the correct privs in the [FileToss] stanza has sent a file to the BBS

2. The sysop has added an echonode manually to the 'export to' field.

I have not used this but I think not. In the case of 'display file' field...
I understand this refers to an ANSI file that is displayed prior to listing
the files... but not as a header (I think) ... but rather a standalone image etc. to display before users see the files

I think you're correct. The "Display File" is what would be displayed if you were /not/ using the ANSI file lister template, ANSIFLST.XXX. If you're not using the lighbar stuff, it falls back to the oldschool listing format where there's a single 10 line or less ANSI header (optional via this setting, otherwise it uses the contents of the file list header in the prompt editor) before listing a page of files. Then you can usually set an option to display that ANSI only once, and it will continue to scroll your file listing, or every
time you hit enter on a page to see more files, it can be set to re-display that ANSI at the top of the page each time, or some such.
