how is this any different that the (1987 - 1990) TV show that
starred Linda Hamilton as Catherine Chandler (aka Beauty) and
Ron Perlman as Vincent Keller (aka Beast)?

That one was remade by the CW starting Kristen Kreuk the Disney one
is the classic fairy tale story... only with a live action photo
realistic talking candlestick, clock, cup and saucer.

Trust me, it was absolutely saddening that they take classic stories
like this and re-do them. I liked the story behind the new Pete's
dragon, but it as nothing like the 1970's version... I took my
little cousins to see it and they did like the movie, but when I
pulled out the old DVD of the 1970's version they liked it better.

As a long time comic book reader, I'm used to 'reboots' and things
that are "re-imagined." I have no problem with it. Either watch it
and enjoy or choose not to, but more power to those that do enjoy it.

    :)

Since just about all of the classic fairy tales predate the first movie about them, aren't they all reboots? :)
